  Dim-Mak: Touch of the Death

Remember "five point palm, exploding heart technique" from the "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" movie?
Dim-Mak, also know as Death Touch, is the ancient martial art of striking vital points of an opponent's body. These strikes are engineered to cause knockout, death or delayed reaction in the opponent. These vital points are the same as used for healing in acupuncture and other Asian healing arts. One of the Dim-Mak methods is to cause the brain to think that something has happened (i.e. high blood pressure) when it really hasn't. The brain reacts to cause other physical things to happen and we end up with extreme low blood pressure which can, if it becomes too low cause heart attack.

And some facts to cool down the hotheads: (From Dim-Mak Facts by Erle Montaigue)
  • Dim-Mak does work. But only if you have invested in the many years it takes to learn it and that the art has been learnt internally! It does not work if you cannot fight to begin with!
  • Anyone is able to learn the very basic Dim-Mak strikes and make them work.
  • All knockouts or Dim-mak strikes, no matter where they are performed are DANGEROUS! We lose a few million brain cells every time we are knocked out.
  • It is impossible to knock out someone who does not wish to be!
