  Effective Street Fighting Training

There are always discussions on what and how karate or any other Martial Art style techniques could be successfully applied in a street combat situation. I guess this training video clip shows one of the most effective approaches in strategy, tactics and execution. Seems that demonstrated finesse, precision, speed and spirit are perfected with years of training.

  Zen: Enlightened

One day the Master announced that a young monk had reached an advanced state of enlightenment. The news caused some stir. Some of the monks went to see the young monk.
- "We heard you are enlightened. Is that true?" they asked.
- "It is," he replied.
- "And how do you feel?"
- "As miserable as ever," said the monk.

  Balisong (Butterfly) Knife

Balisongs are often called "butterfly knives", "Manila folders", or (incorrectly) "gravity knives". Knife consists of a pair of free-swinging handles connected to a blade by a pair of pins. When closed, the two handles ensheath the blade. To open the knife, one of the handles is grasped while the other is flipped away by means of inertia, exposing the blade. With both handles firmly grasped, the blade is locked securely into position.

It's fun, it's lots of fun, I guess. This is one of those addictive toys to keep your hands and fingers nimble.

There is nice site to start with, if you want to learn how to open, close, flip, spin, pass, or throw a Balisong (Butterfly knife)
--- BalisongXtreme ---

For practice, you can buy one of the Practice Balisong Knifes for under $ 10.

Note! Balisongs are as legal as lockblades in most jurisdictions, but some municipalities have specifically prohibited them. Even when they are not prohibited under state law, they are sometimes prohibited under local ordinances. You can find some information at: State Blade Laws summary and State Knife Laws Details, but it's always a good idea to consult your local authorities.
